OUTLAST HOUSTON
OUTLAST is a timed trail endurance challenge held in Navasota, TX. Runners complete a 5K loop each hour, and each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. If a participant finishes a lap early, they may rest until the next hour; if they miss a lap they are removed from that event.
The event is offered in multiple durations and distances:
- 6-hour event : 18 Miles
- 12-hour event : 36 Miles
- 24-hour event : 72 Miles
Courses are trail-based and include natural terrain, elevation, and potentially unpredictable conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Aid is available at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent and personal aid station setups are allowed at the site.
Awards and recognition are tied to completed laps and combined times. Participants earn patches or medals for reaching 4, 5, 6, 12, and 24 laps, and all participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Top male and female finishers by combined 5K time at each event receive a first place award and are ranked on a national leaderboard. The fastest across OUTLAST 6-hour events receives a national title and a cash prize, and top local 6-hour champions may qualify for a championship event in December 2027.
