Event Overview
Beer, Tacos, and Miles is a running event held in Patagonia, Arizona, centered around the McKeown Avenue area. The event combines athletic performance with the consumption of tacos and beer during the race. Proceeds from the gathering are dedicated to supporting abused women and children.
Race Formats
Participants can choose between individual races or a team format:
- 3 Miles: Known as the Tacos Trio, where participants run three miles, eat three tacos, and drink three beers.
- 5 Miles: Known as the Nacho Average Beer Run, involving five miles of running, five tacos, and five beers.
- 12 Miles: A team event for four people where each member completes three legs, totaling 12 miles, 12 tacos, and 12 beers per team.
In the team relay, each participant must finish a loop, consume a taco, and drink a beer before the next team member can begin their leg of the race.
Venue and Atmosphere
The event features live music and a festive environment. While specific race refreshments are included for participants during the competition, additional food and beverages available after the race are provided at the participant's expense.
