Event details
The Sonoita Vineyards Wine Run 5k is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Sonoita Vineyards, 290 Elgin Canelo Rd, Elgin, AZ 85611. The event offers two distances:
- 5k
- 1.5 Mile Walk
The 5k is open to ages 1–99. Registration fees increase after January 2, 2026 at 11:59pm MST. The race is professionally chip timed and scored by J3 Timing; results will be posted online at J3Timing.com. A virtual participation option is available, including packet shipping for the virtual race (shipping and handling fees may apply).
Course, awards and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the winery and runs through the vineyard. It is a two-lap route with some areas of uneven footing and a few inclines. Participants may switch to the 1.5 mile division after completing one lap by notifying the timer. Packet pickup is available on race day morning beginning one hour before the race start.
Registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but do not receive the wine glass or a pour. Age-group awards are given to top finishers in 10-year categories; pins or awards are available for pickup on race day. The Patagonia Youth Enrichment Center is listed as the event charity partner.
