Beer Mile at Cypress & Grove Brewery, Gainesville
The Beer Mile at Cypress & Grove Brewery takes place on January 31, 2026, at 1001 NW 4th St, Gainesville, FL 32601. The event includes two options: the Beer Mile and a Non-Alcoholic Beer Option Beer Mile. Entry fee is $35; prices increase after January 28, 2026. Registration is open to ages 21 to 100 and an ID is required.
The format is one mile run made up of four laps. Before each lap participants drink a beer or a non-alcoholic beer, for a total of four beverages and four laps. Walkers with beer or non-alcoholic beer are permitted. Spectators are invited to watch and record the event.
All proceeds go to the Gainesville Area Rowing Club to support local youth athletes. The organizer states the club needs equipment and resources for youth rowing and that the club competes at state and national levels; one of the club's boats placed second at nationals last year.
