Beer Mile at Cypress & Grove Brewery
The 2nd annual Beer Mile takes place in Gainesville, Florida, on January 30, 2027, at Cypress & Grove Brewing Company, 1001 NW 4th St. The event combines short-distance running with beverage stations and includes a nonalcoholic beer option.
The format is one mile run divided into four laps. Participants drink one beer or one nonalcoholic beer before each lap, for a total of four drinks and four laps. Walkers using beer or nonalcoholic beer are allowed alongside runners.
Registration opens September 12, 2026, and closes November 28, 2026. The registration fee is $25. There are separate entries for the standard beer option and the nonalcoholic beer option.
Event proceeds support the Gainesville Area Rowing Club and youth rowing programs. Funds are intended to help cover equipment and program needs so more young athletes can participate. The rowing club competes at state and national levels.
Participants must be 21 years or older and carry valid identification. Spectators may attend and observe the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
