Beer City Half Sacramento : event overview
Beer City Half Sacramento is a multievent festival in Old Sacramento that combines running and beer related activities. The event offers several race distances and a dedicated Beer Stroll walk. The start and finish are in Old Sacramento and the courses pass local points of interest such as the Tower Bridge, Drake's Barn, the Riverfront, and the American River Bike Path.

Additional event options and features include a Beer Mile where participants drink four 12 ounce beers while running a mile, a Beermazing Race that challenges participants to visit multiple brewers in the afternoon to drink a pint and find clues, and a Beer Tasting Only ticket option. The post race area introduces attendees to several Sacramento brewers. All runners receive a shirt, a Key to Beer City finisher medal, a custom tasting glass, and unlimited tasting until noon. A Beer Trolley runs between Old Sacramento, Drake's Barn, Jackrabbit Brewing, Fieldwork and other stops, with rides arriving approximately every 45 minutes.
