Event Overview
The Beer City Half - Sacramento takes place in Old Sacramento, offering several running and walking distances that highlight the city's riverfront and infrastructure. Course Information
The courses for the longer distances utilize the city's bridges and waterfront paths. Both the Half Marathon and the 10k follow an out-and-back route that crosses the Tower Street Bridge and the Jiboom Street Bridge before reaching a turnaround point on the American River Bike Path. The 5k route is also an out-and-back course that traverses the Tower Street Bridge and passes through Old Sacramento to a turnaround in Tiscornia Park.
Available Distances
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile out-and-back race on city bridges and river paths.
- 10k: A 6.2-mile course following the same bridge route as the half marathon.
- 5k: A 3.1-mile run through Old Sacramento and Tiscornia Park.
- Beer Stroll: A 1-mile run or walk where costumes are encouraged.
- Beer Mile: A 1-mile race involving the consumption of four beers while avoiding a mascot.
Additional Activities
The event includes the Beermazing Race, an adventure challenge where participants visit various taprooms throughout Sacramento using a trolley or designated drivers.
