Course details vary by distance. The half marathon and 10k are out-and-back routes that cross the Tower Street and Jiboom Street Bridges and reach a turnaround on the American River Bike Path. The 5k is an out-and-back route that crosses Tower Street, goes through Old Sacramento, and turns around in Tiscornia Park. The Beer Stroll is a one mile run or walk with a costume element and includes an initial beer taste and additional tastes at the finish. The Beat the Beast Beer Mile requires drinking four beers over one mile while remaining ahead of a T-Rex element to continue. The Beer Tasting Only offering is a separate nonprofit option focused on beer sampling.
The schedule groups running events and beverage activities on the same day and presents opportunities to sample local beer and learn about the local beer community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
