Beer City Half™ SLAM, Quarry Lakes Park, Fremont
Beer City Half™ SLAM is scheduled for August 15, 2026, at Quarry Lakes Park in Fremont, California. The event is presented as the final race of the summer and takes place during National Clear the Shelters Month in partnership with Pets in Need to support animal rescue and adoption.
The event program includes multiple running and beer-related activities:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- Beat the Beast Beer Mile
- The Beer Stroll
- Top Dog Dash
- Beer Tasting Only
The course area is described as running around the lakes, crossing the tracks, and following the creek at Quarry Lakes Park. Beer tasting is available at the finish. The Top Dog Dash is a dog-friendly dash with on-leash participation required; proceeds from the Top Dog Dash go to Pets in Need and all dashers receive Beer City Hero capes. The Beat the Beast Beer Mile requires drinking four 12-ounce beers during a one-mile race; if the Beer City Beast catches a competitor, that competitor is out of the race.
