Bee a Friend
Bee a Friend is a kid-centered community event in Austintown, Ohio on September 13, 2026 that focuses on kindness, inclusion, and being a good friend. The event combines a parade with family oriented activities and community resources.
Planned activities include a Best Friends Parade and a 5K running event. The program features sensory aware activities and a sensory friendly indoor pavilion designed for calm breaks and quiet time. A curated market will host vendors who support the autism community through resources and lived experience. First responder trucks will be on display as part of the community offerings.
Parade groups may be decorated and participants may wear costumes; costumes are encouraged but not required. Awards, raffles, and prizes are part of the day and will be drawn during the event. Raffle proceeds and sponsorships benefit Logan’s Landing Project and support efforts to make play and travel more accessible for families.
The event is presented as family friendly and sensory aware, with multiple activities and community resources gathered at 6000 Kirk Road in Austintown, Ohio. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
