Greenford Ruritan Memorial Day 5K, 1-Mile Walk & Kids Fun Run
The inaugural Greenford Ruritan Memorial Day 5K, 1-Mile Walk and Kids Fun Run takes place on May 25, 2026 at Greenford Christian Church. The event offers timed and untimed distances and is scheduled to occur before the local Memorial Day parade.
Event distances:
- 5K Run/Walk: 5 kilometers
- 1-Mile Walk: 1 mile
- Kids Fun Run: 0.25 miles for ages 13 and under
The start and finish line is located in front of the Big Reach Center of Hope, which sits across the parking lot from Greenford Christian Church. Restrooms are available inside Greenford Christian Church. The 5K is professionally chip timed by GCXC Racing - Youngstown.
Participants in all events receive a commemorative finisher medal. Participants in the 5K and the 1-Mile Walk receive a participant shirt. Participants in the Kids Fun Run may purchase a shirt separately. Proceeds from the 5K and the 1-Mile Walk benefit the township cemeteries, and proceeds from the Kids Fun Run benefit the Greenford Community Library.
