Event details
The Bedford Triathlon, organised by Bedford Harriers, takes place on 16 August 2026 at The Embankment, Bedford, MK40 3PF. The event offers Olympic Triathlon, Olympic Aquabike, Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Aquabike races. The Sprint distance was introduced in 2025. The Sprint bike route uses a local time-trial course and includes a small climb up Hill Foot with a fast ride back down on the return. The Sprint run is a shortened two-lap course mainly along the river. Relay entries are handled via FindARace. Competition is run in accordance with British Triathlon competition rules. Full competitor details are emailed to participants shortly before the race.
Entry and policies
Early-bird entry prices are: Olympic Triathlon £76.50, Olympic Aquabike £67.50, Sprint Triathlon £63.00, Sprint Aquabike £54.00. Entries close on 11 August 2026. Entries are non-transferable and cannot be deferred. Participants must register in person within the published registration times and present photo ID to collect race packs; race packs will not be posted. Withdrawal refunds follow a scale: at least 60 days before the event 100% less administration fees, at least 30 days 50% less administration fees, within 30 days no refund. Participants must provide emergency contact details, disclose known medical conditions, and ensure they have appropriate insurance and fitness to take part.
