Event overview
The Bedford Triathlon Team Relays is a team relay triathlon held at Box End Park, Kempston, Bedford (MK43 8RQ). Teams consist of three athletes; each team member completes the swim, the bike and the run in relay with changeovers in transition. The event accepts individual teams and club teams and is licensed by the national governing body, so competitors must hold a British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use race pass. Entry is limited to 144 teams. Categories include top three Open (male), Female and Mixed, plus Veteran team categories for teams whose members are 45 or older. Team members must be 15 years old by 31 December (14-year-olds may compete if their birthday falls later in the year). The female category is restricted to people female sex at birth; all competitors may enter the open category. The advertised entry fee is £183 per team for British Triathlon members, with an additional charge for non-members to cover a race pass.

The swim takes place in the lake at Box End with an individual, spaced start. The bike is a 23 km single-lap route with an internal loop on local roads, featuring country lanes and some faster sections. The run follows the Box End pre-marked 5K route in the opposite direction to its usual marking. The event is covered by OS Map 208. A mobile medical crew will be on standby. Toilets are available in the clubhouse and as additional portable facilities near transition. There are no aid stations on the route; a tea tent and cakes are provided at the venue. Helmets are mandatory under British Triathlon rules. Parking is available within the main event area. The course record time is listed as 3:36:22 (2025).
