The Becker Farms Spiked Apple 5k is an annual event at Becker Farms Vizcarra Vineyards & Becker Brewing Co. in Gasport, New York. The main event is a 5K run and walk.
Course Details
The course is a cross-country style route that consists of two laps around the farm and vineyards. The terrain includes some areas of uneven footing.
Registration and Perks
Registration includes several items: a soft cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible glass, a finisher medal that also functions as a bottle opener, a chip-timed race bib, and a homemade cider donut. A pour of cider is also included. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers (male and female) in various age categories.
Event Logistics
The event is professionally timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. The event takes place regardless of weather, though severe conditions may cause a delay. Packet pickup is available on race day only, starting one hour before the event. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to the uneven ground. Dogs are allowed on a leash but are not permitted in certain farm areas. A virtual participation option is available, with race materials shipped for an additional fee.
