Event overview

The Old Man Winter Trail Race at Marjim Manor is scheduled for January 24, 2026 in Appleton, New York. The event is organized by iRun WNY and takes place on the grounds of The Winery at Marjim Manor and adjacent property. Online registration remains open until race day. Participants who register by January 16 will receive a special edition Old Man Winter embroidered hat; a limited number of extra hats will be available and an alternate gift will be provided to later registrants if needed. Registration fees are $35 in advance and $40 on race day. Free parking is available at Marjim Manor.

Course, services, and awards

The race uses a scenic single-loop course of approximately 3.2 miles, primarily on grass, gravel trails, farm roads, and through the Bittner/Singer apple orchards, with a short section of asphalt near the finish. Race bibs with timing chips and participant gifts are distributed inside the winery prior to the race. Professional timing using Jaguar Electronic RFID is provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated during the event and participants can access finish line photos and download custom finisher certificates after the race. Awards are presented to the first-place overall male and female finishers; age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
