Becca Pizzi 5K : Belmont, MA
The Becca Pizzi 5K is a community road race held in Belmont, Massachusetts on August 30, 2026. The event honors its namesake's achievements as a two-time World Marathon Challenge champion, including a seven-marathon, seven-continent effort that set a world record. Race proceeds support Belmont High School student-athlete scholarships and athletic programs through the event foundation, which has awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships and equipment.
The course begins and ends at the Belmont High School track. Runners leave the school grounds and follow a loop that travels along Concord Avenue, Leonard Street, Channing Road, Alexander Avenue, and Winn Street, passing Winn Brook School. The route continues onto Newcross Road and Stater Road to a turnaround point, then returns to Channing Road and Concord Avenue before re-entering the school for a final lap and finish on the track.
The event includes a shortened one-mile kids run designed as an introductory, noncompetitive experience for young participants. The race is organized in partnership with a local fitness organization and the event's foundation, with all proceeds directed to supporting Belmont High student-athletes.
