Beaver Freezer Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon

The Beaver Freezer is a community sprint multisport event held at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR on April 24th, 2027. The event began in 1993 and has served as the OSU Triathlon Club's annual fundraiser for more than 30 years. Event formats include triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and relay. Participants range from first time triathletes to veterans, with age groups spanning from 16-19 to 60 plus. The minimum age to participate is 16.

The swim takes place in one of two pools on the university campus. The bike route passes through the historic college district and out onto nearby country roads and includes a few gentle hills. The run is a three loop course around the heart of the OSU campus and finishes in the Student Experience Center Plaza. The campus setting makes spectating straightforward for family and friends.

Swim events (Triathlon, Aquabike, Tri Relay) are limited to a combined total of 400 participants; there is currently no participant limit on the Duathlon. The race requires more than one hundred volunteer shifts to operate, and sponsors support the event each year.
