Event overview
The Mac Forest Trail Runs will take place on March 7, 2026, in McDonald Forest near Corvallis, Oregon. This is the 29th running of the event. Distances offered:

- 5k
Registration opens November 15, 2025. Entry fees are listed as $40 for the 15k and $30 for the 5k. Youth 18 and under receive a 50% discount on the registration fee. Registration fees increase by $5 after January 15.
Proceeds from the races benefit local high school cross-country athletes and the Oregon Running Foundation, which supports youth programs including opportunities and shoes.
Course and logistics
The race starts and finishes at Peavy Arboretum in Oregon State University’s McDonald Forest. The course uses single track trails and logging roads. The 15k course includes about 1,450 feet of elevation gain. Two aid stations are located at Cronemiller Lake and the Cap House. Organizers note that early March conditions often bring wet and muddy trails, and the course may change on race day if weather affects trail conditions.
