Event overview
The Mac Forest Trail Runs take place on March 14, 2026, at Peavy Arboretum in Oregon State University’s McDonald Forest near Corvallis, Oregon. The event offers two distances:
- 15K
- 5K
Proceeds support local high school cross-country athletes and the Oregon Running Foundation, which directs funds toward youth running programs and shoes.
Course and race format
The course uses a mix of single-track trails and logging roads within McDonald Forest. The 15K route includes about 1,450 ft of elevation gain. Two aid stations are provided on the course. Trail conditions are subject to weather and the course may change on race day; early-season conditions often produce wet and muddy sections. The event will be cupless for 2026.
Registration and logistics
Online registration opens November 26, 2025, and registration closes March 4, 2026. Day-of registration is available with cash or check only; checks should be payable to Oregon Running Foundation. Registration and bib pickup start at 7:30 am on race morning. Entry fees listed for adults are $40 for the 15K and $30 for the 5K, with reduced youth fees; fees increase after January 15, 2026. Race shirts must be ordered by February 1 to guarantee race-day delivery; a limited number will be available for purchase on race morning.
