About the race
The Beaverton Area Business Association together with the Beaver Fever 5K sponsors presents the first annual Beaver Fever 5K on October 24, 2026, at the McCulloch Rd School Forest, located at the corner of McCulloch and Calhoun Road in Beaverton, Michigan.
The event is a night trail run on the Beaverton Schools McCulloch Rd cross country course. Runners follow a marked route on flat, wide-track trails and will complete two laps to cover the 5K distance. The night course will include some small LED lights to assist with navigation, and use of a headlamp is strongly recommended because the trail will be dark. Strollers are permitted but may be difficult to manage on the trail. Dogs are not allowed. The venue is school property and the event is drug, tobacco, alcohol and weapon free. Young participants are recommended to walk or run with an adult.
Registration opens May 4, 2026, and closes October 23, 2026. Fee structure for the 5K is $35 through July 31 and $40 beginning August 1. The option to guarantee a shirt size ends on October 11. Packet pickup will be available on race day. All participants will receive professional timing and a Beaver Fever finisher medal.
