Beaver Fever 5K
The Beaver Fever 5K is the first annual night-time trail race held on October 24, 2026, at the McCulloch Rd School Forest in Beaverton, Michigan (corner of McCulloch and Calhoun Rd). The event uses the Beaverton Schools cross-country course, a flat, wide-track trail where runners complete two laps to cover the 5K distance. The night course will be marked with small LED lights; use of a headlamp is strongly encouraged.
All participants receive professional timing, a finisher medal, and a race shirt when registration includes that option. Registration pricing for the 5K is $35 through July 31 and $40 beginning August 1. The guaranteed shirt-size option ends on October 11 at midnight. Proceeds support the Beaverton Area Business Association and their community development efforts.
The event takes place on school property and is drug, tobacco, alcohol, and weapon free. Dogs are not allowed at the race site. Strollers are permitted but may be difficult to use on the trail course. Because the course is dark and on trails, young participants are recommended to walk or run with an adult.
