Beaver Dash Bash
The Beaver Dash Bash is an annual fundraising event held at the Oakdale Trails in Lapeer, Michigan. The event centers on timed single-track mountain bike races and a cross-country running program that also includes a 5k ruck race. All proceeds are designated for the Friends of Oakdale Trails to fund trail maintenance, improvements, and long-term stewardship.
Timed competitions include multiple mountain bike single-track races, a 5k cross-country running race, and a 5k cross-country ruck race. Awards are presented for first through third place in each timed mountain bike category and overall male and female awards for the 5k run and ruck. Youth participants receive participation medals and ruck participants receive a patch. Timing is provided by Newton Timing & Race Services.
The event also features youth mountain bike races (1 mile for ages 3–8 and 2 miles for ages 8–13), an outdoor expo area, food vendors, a craft beer tent, cornhole boards, and a disc golf hole-in-one challenge. The Oakdale Trails used for the event were built by TrailSense and are part of CRAMBA. Event organization and promotion are associated with Crank 4 A Cause and Nexus Cross Promotions, LLC.
