Beaufort Twilight Run
The Beaufort Twilight Run is a USATF sanctioned running festival held in Beaufort, South Carolina. The event is hosted by and benefits the Riverview Charter School. It features a variety of distances and categories to accommodate different ages and interests, including competitive chip-timed races and non-competitive options.
The event offers several individual race distances:
- 400m Kid's Fun Run for ages 8 and under
- 1 Mile Youth Run for ages 14 and under
- 5K Run and 5K Walk
- 8K Run
- 10 Mile Run
- 13.1 Miles Challenge (combining the 5K and 10 Mile races)
The 5K, 8K, and 10 Mile courses are certified and sanctioned. Competitive runners in these distances, as well as the 13.1 Miles Challenge and the Youth 1 Mile, are eligible for awards. The 13.1 Miles Challenge determines winners based on the lowest combined time from both races. Participants in the 10 Mile run or the Challenge must complete their first loop of the course within one hour to begin the second loop.
Participants in the timed races receive a cotton T-shirt if registered by the early deadline, with an option to upgrade to a tech shirt. The Youth 1 Mile participants receive a finisher prize, and the first 300 registrants for the Kid's Fun Run receive event swag.
