Beartooth Run
The Beartooth Run is a long-standing athletic event celebrating its 57th year. Recorded as the highest sustained road race in the United States, the event takes place at high altitude, with the course situated entirely above 10,500 feet. The location provides participants with views of the Beartooth Mountains.
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The event is held in July and utilizes the road systems within the high mountain landscape. Due to the elevation, the environment often retains snow on nearby trails during the early summer season. The race is managed by Red Lodge Events and is part of a series of regional endurance challenges held in the Red Lodge, Montana area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
