Event
The 21st Annual Bear Foot race takes place on March 14, 2026, in Bostic, North Carolina, at Sunshine Elementary School, 231 Toney Road. The event includes a 5K and a 1/2 mile fun run. All proceeds benefit Sunshine Elementary School K-5 students. The event is held rain or shine and pets are not allowed.

The 1/2 mile fun run is for children in 5th grade and under. It is not timed, there is no entry charge for the fun run, and every child will receive a medal. The fun run does not include a shirt.
5K runners may indicate a shirt preference if registered by February 27, 2026; preferences after that date are not guaranteed. Additional shirts will be available for sale while supplies last. Top three male and female finishers overall in the 5K will receive trophies. Top three male and female finishers in listed age divisions will receive medals. Registration options include open 5K registration, fun run registration for 5th grade and under, and a phantom runner registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
