22nd Annual Bear Foot 5K and Half Mile Fun Run
The event is a community running event taking place on March 13, 2027 at Sunshine Elementary School, 231 Toney Road, Bostic, NC 28018. All proceeds benefit Sunshine Elementary School K-5 students. The event will be held rain or shine and pets are not allowed.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Half Mile Fun Run (0.5 Miles, for 5th grade and under)
- Phantom Runner option
Registration and shirts: The 5K registration fee is $30. The Phantom Runner registration fee is $30. The Half Mile Fun Run is free and does not include a shirt. Shirt preference is available to 5K registrants who register by February 26, 2027; after that date shirt preference is not guaranteed. Additional shirts will be available for sale while supplies last.
Awards and timing: Top three male and female overall finishers in the 5K receive a trophy. Top three male and female in each listed age division receive a medal; age divisions start at 5 and under and continue through 95 and over. The Half Mile Fun Run is not timed but every child receives a medal.
Packet pickup is available Friday March 12 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sunshine Elementary, with onsite pickup on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
