Bear Country 10k & 5k
The Bear Country 10k and 5k take place in Brevard, North Carolina, with the start and finish at Oskar Blues Brewery, 342 Mountain Industrial Drive. The courses run along the Brevard greenway and pass mountain views.

Race registration for the 5k and 10k includes a wooden finisher medal, a long sleeve race shirt, chip timing, a donation to Mountain Roots, and an Oskar Blues beer. Non alcoholic options are available. Virtual entries are offered; shirts, medals, and bibs are mailed to US addresses and virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
Strollers are permitted on course. Dogs are allowed at the brewery but are not permitted to run with participants on the course; service animals may be allowed with prior approval and appropriate documentation. Running with an animal results in disqualification from award categories and official timing.
Awards include overall prizes in male, female and nonbinary categories as gift certificates to Fleet Feet Asheville, masters and grand masters categories, and age group awards given as pint glasses to the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets. Packet pick up is available the day before and on race day. The event organizer maintains a no refund and no deferral policy; a third party refund protection product is offered but does not guarantee refunds.
