Bear Country 5k & 10k
The Bear Country races take place in Brevard, North Carolina, with start and finish at Oskar Blues Brewery. The courses run along the Brevard greenway and offer mountain views on mostly flat, family friendly routes.

- Kids Cub Crawl approximately 0.25 mile for children 12 and under
The Kids Cub Crawl is an untimed fun run for ages 12 and under; participants receive a bib and a finisher medal and parents or guardians may run alongside their child. Strollers are welcome. Dogs are allowed at the brewery but are not permitted to run with participants on the course. Service animals may be allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation; running with an animal will result in disqualification from timing and awards.
Registration for the 5k and 10k includes a long sleeve race shirt, a wooden finisher medal, professional chip timing, a donation to Mountain Roots, and one Oskar Blues beer for participants 21 plus or a non alcoholic beverage. Virtual options are available and swag can be mailed within the United States.
Awards include overall and masters gift certificates to Fleet Feet Asheville for top finishers and pint glass age group awards for top three in each age category. Virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
Parking is provided in multiple lots near the brewery with an overflow gravel lot for additional vehicles. The event has a no refund policy; transfers to virtual entry or to another runner are allowed up to five days before the event under the stated conditions.
