Beachfront Run Half Marathon
The Beachfront Run is organized by City Impact and takes place on the Ventura Promenade. The event includes several race distances.
The courses start and finish at the same line near the Ventura Pier. They are described as flat with views of the Ventura coastline. Runners turn around halfway and return on the same path.
- Half Marathon: The course follows the oceanfront promenade and extends along the Pacific Coast Highway.
- 10K: The course runs along the oceanfront promenade to Emma Wood Campground and back.
- 5K: The course runs out and back along the oceanfront promenade.
- Kids Run: A 1K distance is also offered.
Participants receive a custom event shirt and a finisher's medal. Registrations after March 15, 2026, may not guarantee the preferred shirt size. Awards are given to the top three finishers in 10-year age categories, starting from 10-19.
The event features vendors, music, and an awards ceremony. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed, but dogs are not permitted on the course. Registration changes are possible until the Thursday before the event.
All proceeds from the event benefit City Impact's programs supporting at-promise youth and families in Ventura County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
