Beach to Beach 5K : Morris, Connecticut
The Beach to Beach 5K is a community road race held at the Morris Town Beach complex on Bantam Lake. Now in its fourth year, the event uses an out and back route along East Shore Road that passes quiet lake vistas and rolling hills, with a fast finish at the Morris Town Beach area.
Timed results are provided with chip timing by Fast Track Timing. Awards are given in all standard age divisions, and there are additional awards for top local finishers from the lake area. Event shirts are provided to registered participants; registrations received by September 25 are guaranteed a shirt, and later registrations may receive shirts while supplies last.
Proceeds from the race support the Bantam Lake Protective Association, a private nonprofit organization devoted to the preservation of Bantam Lake and its surroundings and to maintaining water quality for recreation and habitat. The association works with local and regional partners on lake stewardship.
Registration fees are listed at $30 for online registration and $35 for day of registration, which is cash or check only. The race takes place in Morris, Connecticut, at the Morris Town Beach complex, and the course highlights lakeside scenery and a community-focused event structure.
