Event Overview
The Be the Light 5K is a run and walk held in Lafayette, Indiana. It is the 4th annual event organized by the Central Catholic Bring Change to Mind Club. Proceeds from the event will help support the BC2M club and suicide prevention efforts.
Schedule and Location
The event takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Check-in and race day registration are available from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. A Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under starts at 4:30 PM. The 5K starts at 5:00 PM. Early packet pick-up is available on Friday, April 24 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Central Catholic cafeteria. The event is held at Central Catholic Junior & Senior High School on 2410 S 9th St in Lafayette.
Entry Fees and Registration
The entry fee for the 5K run/walk is $30. The fee for the Kids Fun Run is $10. Online registration is available until Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 PM. Registering by April 6 guarantees an event t-shirt. No refunds are issued.
Event Details
Registration for the 5K includes an event shirt, a bib number with a timing chip, and dinner provided by Eddie Joe's Icehouse. The event features booths to support mental and physical well-being. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the 5K. Animals, bikes, roller blades, scooters, and skateboards are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
