Be Fearless Trail Marathon, 21K & 11K
This event is offered as both a local race at Alice Lake Provincial Park in Squamish, British Columbia, and a virtual option with the participant package mailed out. Registration runs from December 1, 2025 to September 13, 2026 or until a maximum of 350 participants is reached. Five Canadian dollars from each registration support the CMHA STEPS program.
Distances available:
- 42 km marathon on mixed technical and non technical trails.
- 21 km half marathon with varied climbs and descents.
- 11 km trail race with notable elevation gain.
- 1.5 km fun run on gravel paths.
- Virtual options for 11 km, 21 km and 42 km with mailed packages.
Local event features include start and finish at Alice Lake, a bib number, custom finisher medals, finish-line food, timing via app rather than chip timing, and overall awards for first through third. The marathon lists about 1592 m ascent and six aid stations. The 21 km course lists about 830 m ascent and three aid stations. The 11 km course lists about 320 m ascent and one aid station. Shuttle service is provided between an off-site parking location and the start/finish, drop bags are allowed only at the start/finish, and complimentary after-run massages are offered. Draw prizes from sponsors are included.
Policies and values emphasize inclusivity, no gender categories in results, environmental measures such as cupless aid stations and reused course markings, and gear expectations including trail shoes and the ability to carry at least one litre of water.
