Sarah Beckett Memorial Run
The Sarah Beckett Memorial Run is a 3 km or 5 km run and walk held in memory of RCMP officer Sarah Beckett, who was killed in the line of duty on April 5, 2016. The 2026 event takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The local event starts and finishes at the Starlight Stadium plaza in Langford, next to the Sarah Beckett Memorial Playground. A virtual option allows participation from anywhere.
Participants receive a finisher's medal. Online registration closes at 10 am (PST) on event day. In-person registration is available at package pickup or on the morning of the event.
Funds raised go to two organizations: BGC South Vancouver Island and the Goldstream Food Bank.
For virtual participants, deadlines to guarantee receipt of the race package are April 7, 2026 for those outside Vancouver Island, and April 27, 2026 for those on Vancouver Island.
There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Photos taken during the event may be shared on social media. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
