The Bayou Half Marathon and 4-Miler is a road race event held in Bayou La Batre, AL on December 5, 2026. The event includes two distances and uses certified courses: the half marathon is certified AL22056JE and the 4-Miler is certified AL12086JD.

Registration options include pre-registration by mail or in person at local running stores in Mobile until the Thursday before race day, and online registration that closes the Friday before the race. Day-of registration is available. Entry fees vary by distance and membership status; a no-shirt option reduces the fee by $3.
The race supports a beneficiary collection for children: new, unwrapped toys and distraction items (coloring books, puzzles, craft kits) for USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital and the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile. Pre-registration guarantees a race shirt; shirts may be available on race day while supplies last and will not be reordered after the event.
Awards are given in multiple categories. Half marathon finishers receive medals; both distances include top overall, masters, grandmasters, senior grandmasters, top walker, top wheelchair, and age-group awards. Participants must be able to complete their distance within three hours because course support and traffic control end after that time. Food and beverages are provided after the race.
