Bayou City Classic 10K & 5K Fun Run - March 7, 2026
The Bayou City Classic takes place on March 7, 2026, at Hermann Square (900 Bagby St) in downtown Houston, adjacent to City Hall. The event is organized by the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA), an all-volunteer 501(c)(3). Proceeds are donated to the Houston Parks & Recreation Department and other charities that support the running community; the race has donated over $250,000 to parks in the previous eight years. The event is described as family-friendly and inclusive; wheelchair and pushrim participants are welcomed.

Entry, registration and event features
Entry fees vary by registration period: Early Bird (to 8/31/25) $35; Early (9/1/25 to 1/12/26) $45; Regular (1/13/26 to 3/6/26) $50; Race Morning $55. HARRA members receive a discount except on the Early Bird price. Discounts are available for military, first responders and athletes with disabilities. Packet pickup is to be announced. Race day registration is available online until 7:15 AM; registrants must pay by credit card online before requesting a bib. No in-person paper registration forms are accepted and no event switching is allowed on race day. The event includes a costume "Centipede" contest and a post-race party with food and beverages.
