Bay Area 100
The Bay Area 100 is a point-to-point ultramarathon of 100 miles that begins at California Memorial Stadium on the UC Berkeley campus and finishes on the track at Skyline High School in Oakland. The course includes roughly 18,000 feet of vertical gain and crosses multiple park and trail areas in the East Bay.
The route traverses exposed ridgelines and bay crests, sections of redwood forest, fire trails along lake shorelines, and terrain through Bay View, Las Trampas, Lake Chabot, and Redwood areas. Runners may encounter panoramic views toward Marin, San Francisco, the South Bay, and Mt. Diablo along the course.
Organizers provide aid stations, crew-accessible locations, and time cutoffs; a multi-day time limit applies. Pacer registration, as well as centralized pacer and crew coordination, are part of the event infrastructure. The race is a UTMB index event and finish times will be entered into the UTMB system within two weeks of completion. In its first year this event is not a Western States qualifier.
Related activities around the event include a Training Camp that covers more than 70 miles of course over a weekend and a Coaching Collab livestream series. Scena Performance organizes the event and other regional races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
