Battle Run Benefiting A Soldier’s Child Foundation
The Battle Run is an annual multisport event held at Henry Horton State Park in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Now in its ninth year, the event honors individuals who have served or are currently serving in the military. All profits from the registrations are donated to A Soldier’s Child Foundation in support of their 2026 camps. Participants can choose from several event types, including trail races and obstacle courses.
The event offers a variety of distances and formats:
- Crucible: A multi lap event totaling 26.2 miles that includes an obstacle course.
- Battle Axe: A 13.1 mile trail race.
- Anvil: A 5K (3.1 mile) trail race.
- Gauntlet: A course over 3 miles featuring more than 20 obstacles.
- Anvil & Gauntlet Combo: A combined event totaling 7.1 miles.
- Dax's Kid Gauntlet: A 0.375 mile obstacle course for children.
For the Dax's Kid Gauntlet, participants may start the course every half hour between the designated morning hours and are permitted to run the course multiple times with a single registration.
All registered participants receive a t-shirt, a custom dog-tag, and a plate lunch at the finish line. The event grounds include a festival area with games, food, and music provided by a DJ. Non-participants may also obtain plate lunches in exchange for a donation to A Soldier’s Child Foundation. Event photos are taken on the course and posted after the race.
