Two Tunnels - August 2026
The Two Tunnels event takes place on Sunday 16th August 2026 in Bath, UK. The event's start and finish are at Brickfields Park, The Hollow, Twerton, Bath, BA2 1LX. Tickets for the event are currently sold out; ticket sales close 7th August 2026.
The route uses two restored railway tunnels beneath the city. The Devonshire Tunnel is 408 m long and Combe Down Tunnel is 1,672 m long. Both tunnels are well lit, well surfaced and form a shared use path for runners, walkers and cyclists. The tunnels had been sealed after the Somerset & Dorset Railway closed in 1966 and were reopened in April 2013 following seven years of restoration work by the Two Tunnels Group and Sustrans.
A wide range of race distances and formats are listed for the day, including shorter novelty runs and longer endurance options, plus relay entries. Brickfields Park includes a children’s playground and space suitable for a picnic after the event. The organiser is Relish The Great Outdoors.
