The Cut - Elimination Run
The Cut is an elimination running event at Pomphrey Hill in Emersons Green, England. Runners start together and complete repeated 3 km rounds. After each round the allowed time for the next 3 km decreases; runners who miss the cutoff do not continue. The sequence continues until a single runner remains or the planned rounds finish.
The round time limits are: Round 1 - 20:00 (6:40/km) Round 2 - 18:00 (6:00/km) Round 3 - 16:00 (5:20/km) Round 4 - 14:00 (4:40/km) Round 5 - 12:00 (4:00/km) Round 6 - 10:00 (3:20/km) Round 7 - 08:00 (2:40/km)
Entry is priced at £12 and places are limited to 40 entrants. The event includes free gels provided by Sap Good Energy, music, a café hatch on site, free parking, finisher rewards, and separate male and female changing rooms. Participants under 16 may attend only with a parent or legal guardian. The organiser offers refunds up to seven days before the event.
