Hardwick 10k - Pilsley, 16 July 2026
The Hardwick 10 km is held as an out and back race on 16 July 2026 to mark the event's 40th edition. The course includes a long climb up to Hardwick Hall with marshals at the 5 km turnaround, a steep downhill section to the Hardwick Inn, a climb to Tibshelf Road and a final downhill 1 km into Pilsley.
Part of the entry fee is donated to Edale Mountain Rescue; competitors may also sponsor the charity through arrangements detailed on the race website.
Online entry fees are listed as £20 for UKA/ARC affiliated runners and £22 for unaffiliated runners, with a closing date for entries on 30 June 2026 and no entries on the day. Total places are capped at 650. Registration opens at the Elm Centre adjacent to Pilsley Primary School; race numbers are allocated by email a few days before the race and number panels are collected at registration. Chip timing is used and an ID tag is issued at registration.
Facilities include ample parking, toilets and showers at the Elm Centre and St Mary’s Church Hall, and changing facilities. Water is provided at the start and finish and at points along the route. Prizes cover multiple age categories and teams, there is a reward for course record breakers, and every finisher receives a 40th anniversary commemorative t-shirt.
