Hardwick 10k (2026)

Hardwick 10k is an annual community road race held in Hardwick. The 2026 edition is the 40th running of the event and takes place on Thursday 16 July 2026. The race uses a 10 km course and is run under an Athletics Race permit, number ARC/26/0350.

The event is supported and promoted by Pilsley Parish Council and Cannon Events, with practical support and sponsorship acknowledged from local organisations. Part of the entry fee is donated to the chosen charity, Edale Mountain Rescue, and additional donations are accepted via a JustGiving campaign. A raffle on race day offers a chance to win a £150 pair of running shoes; raffle tickets are available from the Edale Mountain Rescue vehicle on the day. The prize includes expert advice and fitting from Run Forest.

Hardwick 10k is organised by unpaid volunteers and operated so that funds are returned to the event and its beneficiary charities. Course records exist for the current 10k format, with recorded benchmark times for male and female first places. Historical records for an earlier course format are also noted by the organisers.
