Blacka Moor Chase is a trail race organised by Totley AC, held on 16 July 2026 in Totley, Sheffield (Blacka Moor / Totley Moor area, Peak District). The race is an FRA-licensed fell race in category BS. The course distance is approximately 6.7 km with roughly 252 m of climb. The venue is the Totley AC Pavilion at the top of the field behind the Cricket Inn (grid reference around 302800). There is an entry limit of 250.

Course, entry and race procedures

The route is entirely on public rights of way and is a fixed-route race. It starts and finishes at the pavilion and includes a lap of the field, about 1 km on tarmac along Strawberry Lee Lane, a short steep climb onto the moor, open fields to the top of Blacka Moor Woods, a steep technical descent called Piper Gate and a return via Strawberry Lee Lane. Paths through the wood contain exposed tree roots. Pre-entry is available and entry on the day may be subject to availability. The organiser requires runners to carry kit as specified under FRA best-practice when conditions demand and may perform kit checks. Limited parking and basic changing, shower and toilet facilities are available at the pavilion. Prizes are awarded by gender and in specified age categories.
