Barrie Triathlon & Duathlon
The event takes place on the Barrie Waterfront at Centennial Beach Park, Downtown Barrie (65 Lakeshore Dr). It runs across two days, Saturday Aug 7 and Sunday Aug 8, and includes multisport races for adults and youth, plus a Give-It-A-Tri entry.
Course and venue details include a grassy transition area, multiple parking options on the waterfront, and registration, food, awards and the finish area located close together. All bike routes use fully closed, multi-loop roads along the waterfront with wide turn-arounds. Swim water temperatures typically range from 18 to 22 C, so wetsuits are likely optional but recommended. Swim areas for younger Kids of Steel participants are in hip or chest-deep water; swimmers age 12 and over must complete their swim in deeper water.
Included with entry are a locally sourced custom finisher’s medal, a race-specific t-shirt in a casual sport cut, professional timing by Sportstats, post-event food, draw prizes and age-group awards. There are entry limits for races and multi-race discounts as well as U23 and U18 discounts. Registrations by July 18 receive an event-logo t-shirt; registrations by August 1 receive a personalized bib. Transfers must be completed by July 28.
