Barrie Triathlon, Duathlon and Kids of Steel
This multisport event is hosted at Centennial Beach Park in downtown Barrie on the waterfront. The venue features a grassy transition area with ample space, multiple parking options, and registration, food, awards and the finish line located close to each other. Venue address: 65 Lakeshore Dr, Barrie, ON.
All bike courses use fully closed roads along the Barrie waterfront and are multi-loop. The bike routes are described as fast and flat with wide turn-arounds and spectator-friendly sightlines. The run course follows waterfront paths toward the Southshore Centre and Military Heritage Park.
Included items and services: a locally sourced finisher’s medal, a race-specific casual sport-cut t-shirt, professional timing by Sportstats, post-event food, draw prizes and age-group awards. Multi-race discounts are available as well as U23 (10%) and U18 (20%) discounts.
Water temperatures tend to be 18–22 C so wetsuits will likely be optional but are recommended. For Kids of Steel, swim courses for under-12 ages are in hip/chest-deep water; participants 12 and over swim the full distance.
