Georgina Marathon & Half Marathon 2026
The event takes place in Georgina, Ontario, along the south shore of Lake Simcoe on September 13, 2026. Distances offered include the marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km.
All courses are Athletics Canada certified; the marathon course is a Boston qualifier. Races start and finish at De La Salle Park and follow Lake Drive North on an out-and-back route. The roads are quiet, with shade and waterfront property views; the 5 km course is described as flat and fast.
Aid stations are located approximately every 2.5 to 3 km and provide water and an electrolyte drink. Strollers and dogs are not allowed because of the course layout and insurance requirements. All finishers receive a custom Georgina Marathon T-shirt and a medal.
Parking at De La Salle Park and the Red Barn Theatre lot requires a prepaid VIP parking pass. Free overflow parking is available at three lots in the area with shuttle service to the race site. Spectator parking is available at Willow Beach and North Gwillimbury Park; these locations do not have shuttle service.
The cancellation policy states there are no refunds. If a government or public health order or an act of God forces cancellation, the event may be converted to a virtual race. Transfers between entrants are allowed until September 1 for an administration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
