Georgina Marathon & Half-Marathon
The Georgina Marathon and Half-Marathon is held along the south shore of Lake Simcoe in Georgina, Ontario. The marathon, half marathon and 10 km courses are Athletics Canada certified, and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The 10 km certification number is ON-2023-001-BDC.
All events start at De La Salle Park and follow an out-and-back route along Lake Drive North on quiet, shaded roads with scenic waterfront views. The half marathon and 5 km are one loop; the marathon is two loops. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 to 3 km and provide electrolyte drink and water.
Participants must complete a waiver before kit pick up. Strollers and dogs are not permitted due to course conditions and insurance requirements. The event cut-off is six hours after the marathon start. All finishers receive a custom Georgina Marathon T-shirt and a medal.
Advance race kit pick up is available at designated locations and a VIP race day pick up option is offered. Shuttle service runs between overflow parking lots and De La Salle Park. Pace groups are provided for a range of target finish times. Local fundraising organizations are listed with current funds raised and a campaign goal.
