Barley's Broken Rail Relay
Barley's Broken Rail Relay is a 5th annual team relay held on August 8, 2026. The event starts at 1065 Sunningdale Rd E, London, ON N5X 4B1, Canada, and finishes at Broken Rail Brewery in St. Mary’s.
The relay totals 50 km across 8 sections that alternate between trails and roads. Section lengths range from 4.5 to 9 km. Teams consist of four runners and one vehicle for transitions. Ideally each runner covers two sections. At least one team member must be on course for each section and a maximum of two runners per team are allowed on a single section. While one teammate runs a leg, the others drive to the next transition to provide hydration, snacks, and support.
Precision Fuel & Hydration will supply on-course nutrition. All participants receive a limited edition BBRR T-shirt from New Balance. Registration fees are listed as CA$77.77 per participant. Entry is limited to 30 teams. Team captains create the team name during registration and other team members join via the team selection.
All profits from the event are donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Teams are encouraged but not required to raise additional funds; the top fundraising team will be outfitted with a running kit from New Balance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
