Bark in the Park 5k & 1 Mile Woof Walk 2026
Bark in the Park at Beckley Creek Park in Louisville, KY takes place on September 19, 2026. The event offers a timed 5k and a one mile Woof Walk along scenic trails in The Parklands of Floyds Fork. There is also a virtual 5k option that can be completed remotely; virtual participants may submit results between September 25 and September 28, and will be able to download finisher certificates and view rankings after those submissions.

All finishers in both the 5k and the 1 Mile Woof Walk receive a finisher medal. Participants also receive a short sleeve cotton blend race shirt. Packet pickup is available before the event at Ken Combs Running Store on September 18 and on race day at the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park.
The day includes a family friendly festival with pet friendly vendors, live entertainment, an interactive lure course for dogs, costume contests, kids activities and a Pet of the Year contest. The 5k awards the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and is listed as the Animal Care Society's long running annual event in its 23rd year.
