Bark in the Park 5k & 1 Mile Woof Walk 2026
This event features two main activities: a timed 5k race and a 1-mile Woof Walk. It takes place on a Saturday in September at Beckley Creek Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The 5k and walk follow the scenic trails of The Parklands of Floyds Fork within the park.

This is the 23rd year for Bark in the Park. The event is organized to support the Animal Care Society. After the race, a family-friendly festival is held at the park. It includes pet-friendly vendors, live entertainment, a lure course for dogs, costume contests, kids' activities, and a Pet of the Year contest.
The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. Completing six races in the series earns a special finisher medal. Awards are given in the 5k for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in numerous age groups. Participants receive a short sleeve cotton blend race shirt and a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
