Bark in the Park 5k & 1 Mile Woof Walk 2026
Bark in the Park 2026 is scheduled for September 19, 2026 at Beckley Creek Park in The Parklands of Floyds Fork, Louisville, KY. The event offers in-person and virtual options and supports the Animal Care Society through fundraising and donated items.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 5k
- Virtual 5k
- 1 Mile Woof Walk
The in-person event follows scenic park trails and includes packet pickup at Ken Combs Running Store on the Friday before the race and onsite packet pickup at the park on race day. Virtual participants may complete their 5k at their own location and submit results during the specified post-race window; virtual packets are available for pickup instead of mail delivery.
All finishers in both the 5k and the 1 Mile Woof Walk receive a finisher medal. A short sleeve cotton blend race shirt is provided. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and to the top three in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over in the 5k.
A family friendly festival continues after the event with pet friendly vendors, live entertainment, an interactive lure course for dogs, costume contests, kids activities and the Pet of the Year contest.
