Barefoot XTrail Series - Battle At Boulder Hill
Barefoot XTrail Series - Battle At Boulder Hill takes place in Belmont Regional Park at the Belmont Recreation Reserve, Norfolk St, Belmont, Lower Hutt on 5 July 2026. The event uses established trail tracks that run through native bush, open ridgelines and areas of rolling farmland, providing a mix of rooty single track, ridgeline running and farm paddocks with views across Wellington harbour and the Hutt Valley.
Three marked courses are listed with total distance and ascent:
- 6.47 km, 182 m ascent
- 10.75 km, 369 m ascent
- 15.8 km, 558 m ascent
The short route is a compact loop with concentrated climbing and flowing descents. The medium route begins with a gradual climb through bush before opening onto hillside and returning via downhill tracks with a final short climb. The long route follows rooty single track and the Kilmister track, includes sustained climbing onto open hillside with extensive views, and returns along downhill sections with a closing ascent before rejoining the reserve.
