Event Details

The Bampa's House 5K Run/Walk is an annual fundraising event. It offers two participation options: an in-person event and a virtual option. The in-person race takes place at Craig Park in Painted Post, New York.

The Course

The in-person route is a 3.1 mile course. It includes sections of the Painted Post Trail and winds through streets in the Painted Post community.

Purpose and Organization

The event aims to raise money for Bampa's House and celebrate the life of Jim Dugan, the organization's namesake. Bampa's House, also known as Corning Comfort Care, Inc., is a non-profit. It provides end-of-life care services in the Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler county areas. All proceeds from the race go to this organization.

Participation and Awards

Participants can run or walk. Virtual participants can submit their time to receive a t-shirt by mail. The event also encourages participants to become fundraisers by collecting donations. Awards are given for in-person participants, including overall top male and female finishers, and top finishers in multiple age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
