Bampa's House 5K Run/Walk
Bampa's House is sponsoring the tenth annual 5K Run/Walk on September 5, 2026, at Craig Park Pavilion in Painted Post, NY. The event is organized to raise funds for Bampa's House and to celebrate the life of the person for whom the organization is named.
The event offers two participation options: an in-person 5K along a 3.1 mile course that includes the Painted Post Trail and streets of Painted Post, and a virtual 5K that can be completed remotely. Virtual participants may complete the distance outdoors, indoors, on a treadmill, or on a track and report their time to receive a mailed T-shirt.
There is a registration fee for participation. Organizers provide T-shirts for participants who register by an advance deadline and will mail shirts to virtual participants who report their time. Participants can also set up personal fundraising pages to collect donations in support of Bampa's House.
All proceeds from the event will go to Bampa's House, a nonprofit also known as Corning Comfort Care, Inc. The organization serves Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler counties and focuses on providing a safe and comfortable place for end of life care when home care is not an option.
