Bailey's Run for Autism
Bailey's Run for Autism takes place in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and is organised by Bailey's Team for Autism, a regional non-profit focused on programming, education, and research for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. The organisation was founded in 2001 and incorporated in 2008 and has raised over $1.3 million, with a concentration of support in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The running event is a professionally measured, USATF Certified 5 km course described as flat. The course starts and finishes on Payson Road, continues left onto Chestnut Street, proceeds onto Mechanic Street, goes up Baker, and returns to Chestnut and Payson Road back at the start.
The walk is a 1 mile route that begins at the same Payson Road start. Participation in the walk is free but registration is required; there may be a fee for an event t-shirt. On-site registration is available and all walkers must sign a waiver, with adults required to sign on behalf of any child. Walkers are asked not to follow the 5 km route because full safety precautions and police coverage will not be in place for the entire run route.
Event location: 46 Payson Rd, Foxboro, MA 02035. T-shirts are free and guaranteed to the first 200 registered runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
