Participants can observe entertainment provided by the Bahia Shrine parade units throughout the venue.

A unique feature of this event is the scheduled appearance of Sir Gus, Jr., a live camel available for photos and interaction, though this is subject to weather and transportation conditions. The 5K participants receive a shirt and a finisher's medal. Note that shirts are only guaranteed for those who register by the specific cutoff date, with additional shirts available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Competitive participants in the 5K can receive awards for first, second, and third place overall. Age group awards are also presented across various categories for both males and females, starting from age 7 and under up to the 85-89 age bracket. The event takes place rain or shine. In the instance of a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, the in-person event converts to a virtual format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
