Event
Badass Texas is a running event in Waco, Texas, with race options of Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K on May 24, 2026. Race courses start and finish at Heritage Square (311 Austin Ave, Waco, TX) and run along the Brazos River, through Cameron Park and East Brazos Park. The courses are USATF certified. A virtual race option is available; virtual runners receive race packets by mail and can upload results between May 24, 2026 and August 29, 2026.
Logistics and extras
Packet pickup is offered at multiple locations in the week before the race, including Fort Worth Running Company, Dallas Running Company (Southlake and Plano), and Waco Running Company, plus on-site pickup at 311 Austin Ave on race day. The event provides a tech muscle shirt, a finisher medal, custom bibs, hydration and gels on the half marathon course, course restrooms, bag check, and VIP parking for purchase. Run Project pace groups are provided for the half marathon at multiple target paces.
Additional weekend activities include a free Shakeout Run on May 23 and a pool party at the Even Hotel on May 24. Awards are given 1st-3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top 3 male and female in standard age groups.
