About the race
Badass Texas in Waco, Texas is a Run Project event held on May 30, 2027, with race activities centered at Heritage Square in downtown Waco. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes weekend activities such as a Saturday evening Shakeout Run hosted by Waco Running Company, a Finisher Fest with a beer garden and awards, and a post-race pool party.

The courses run along the Brazos River and pass through Cameron Park and East Brazos Park, with the finish located in Heritage Square. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and on race day at the venue; additional pickup locations and dates are listed by the organizer. Pace groups for the half marathon are provided by Run Project Pacers and cover a range of finishing targets. Awards are presented for 1st–3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and the top three in multiple age groups; awards must be claimed in person. Registration is handled electronically, entry fees are nonrefundable, and a transfer and an enhanced refund protection program are described by the organizer.
