About the race
Badass Texas is a multi-distance running event held in Waco, Texas, over Memorial Day Weekend. The event uses Heritage Square Downtown (311 Austin Ave) as the venue and routes that run through the Brazos River corridor and Cameron Park hills. Course maps are provided, including USATF certified maps and interactive maps for each distance.

- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The weekend program includes packet pickup on the day before the races and a free shakeout run. Race day features downtown course running, a finisher festival, a beer garden, an awards ceremony, and a pool party. Awards are given for 1st–3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top three male and female finishers across multiple age groups; awards must be claimed in person.
Run Project Pacers will provide pace groups for the half marathon. Volunteer roles are listed for course monitoring, water stops, registration, packet pickup, venue support, and load-in/load-out. The event names Project Hero as a featured charity partner, and participants can choose beneficiaries when donating. Entry fees are non-refundable though transfers are permitted and an enhanced refund protection program is available through the registration provider.
