Bad to the Bone 5K

The Bad to the Bone 5K is an annual running event held at the Bonesaw Brewing Company in Glassboro, New Jersey. This event is moving into its fifth year and involves a chip-timed race that concludes with a post-race celebration at the brewery. The race supports the HEADstrong Foundation as its charity partner.

The event welcomes both runners and walkers. Children are also permitted to participate, though the organizer requests a one hour time limit for the course. For safety, walkers and children are positioned behind the runners at the start of the race.

Participants receive several amenities as part of their registration, including a high-quality custom shirt, a custom beer glass, and a race snack. Each finisher over the legal age also receives a ticket for a craft beer. The post-race atmosphere features live music and food trucks parked on-site. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and winners in various age groups, ranging from 14 and under to those 70 and older in ten-year increments.
