PHLY Turkey Trot
The PHLY Turkey Trot is a community running event held on Thanksgiving Day in Philadelphia. The race takes place at Forbidden Drive, with the start line situated near the intersection of Thomas Road and West Northwestern Avenue at Parking Lot #3. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options for those unable to attend the physical location.
Participants can choose from the following course options:
- 5 Mile Run
- 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run
- 5 Mile Virtual Run
- 1 Mile Virtual Walk
The event features professional timing provided by the Bryn Mawr Racing Company. For competitive participants, awards are presented to the first, second, and third overall male and female finishers, as well as the top finisher in each age bracket. Registration for the event includes a race bib, a commemorative shirt (guaranteed for those registered by November 1), and access to water stations.
Amenities at the venue include music and post-race refreshments. Parking is provided at Chestnut Hill College and the Sugarloaf campus, located approximately a 10-20 minute walk from the starting line. All registered participants, including virtual runners, are required to pick up their materials during designated times, as shipping services are not provided.
