Bacon Around the Bend 5K
Bacon Around the Bend is the 9th annual downtown 5K hosted by the Family Justice Center in South Bend, Indiana, on June 20, 2026. The route is described as scenic and includes a BACON STATION at the halfway point along the course. This event is a family fun run and is not a timed race.
All finishers are invited to a finish line party at Corby's Irish Pub, where post-race bacon-themed snacks will be served. Participants aged 21 and over have the option to enjoy festive libations, including a Bacon Bloody Mary. Strollers are welcome and children age three and under may participate for free. Costumes are encouraged.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes June 17, 2026. Posted registration fees and inclusions are:
- Adults: $40, includes race shirt, drink ticket, and admission to the finish line party
- Ages 13 to 20: $25, includes race shirt and admission to the finish line party
- Ages 4 to 12: $10, includes race shirt and admission to the finish line party
The event also serves to share the Family Justice Center mission of providing help, healing, and hope to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and their families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
