The third annual Back to The 80s Run/Walk takes place on September 12, 2026, at Campion Trail, 5950 Riverside Dr, Irving, TX 75039. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The event includes a live DJ playing 1980s music and a post-race party. Participants are encouraged to wear 1980s-themed attire. A warm-up session is led by ZFT Run Club before the race. Packet pickup details are listed as TBD and there is a t-shirt cutoff date of August 29, 2025.
Course and race details
The course is an out-and-back route on Campion Trail. The event uses chip timing; official time is recorded when a participant crosses the starting mat. There will be a portal pot at the start/finish area and additional restrooms on course. Faster runners are asked to line up near the front and walkers and strollers toward the back. Parking is free.
Awards are given for overall male and female finishers and for age divisions, with categories including 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Volunteer roles include aid station and course monitor positions. The event follows a no-refund policy and may be altered or canceled for unsafe conditions.
