Baby Shippey
Baby Shippey is a trail running event held at Beaumont Reservation in High Ridge, Missouri. The event offers two distances: a half marathon and a 10K. The courses run on rugged, primitive trails and service paths that include large rocks and boulders, rough off-camber sections, loose gravel switchbacks, and powerline and ATV paths.
Distances:
- Half Marathon, 13.05 mi, 2,390 ft climb
- 10K, 6 mi, just over 1,100 ft climb
The half course follows extensive rock traverses, fast jeep roads, steep descents, and the property’s largest climbs. The 10K follows the first three miles of the half course, splits, and rejoins to share the final 1.5 miles, concentrating steep ascents and one major descent in a shorter distance.
Aid stations are located at approximately mile 3 for both distances and at about mile 8.2 on the half. The course has a midday cutoff for both distances. Packet pickup and post race activities take place at the Cub World Building; food and ice cream or popsicles are available there after the race. All runners receive a custom event item with registration and awards are given to the top three men and top three women in each distance. Bib transfers, cancellations, and distance changes are permitted until June 5, 2026 and there are no refunds or deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
