Baby Backyard 5K to 50K ULTRA - Maple Grove, MN
The Baby Backyard 5K to 50K ULTRA is a community fun run and fundraiser scheduled for 8/8/2026 at Elm Creek Park, Bluebird and Chipmunk Picnic Areas, 12420 James Deane Parkway, Maple Grove MN 55369. The event is organized by Human Race Inc and all race registrations are donated to the Children's Minnesota Kids Cancer Fund.
The format asks participants to complete a 5K loop every hour for up to ten hours to reach a 50K total. The 5K course remains open throughout the ten hour window and participants may run, walk, or stop at any time. Completing a single 5K counts as an official finish. The event supports participants who choose a continuous effort and provides course management and aid for the duration.
A virtual option allows participants to complete the hourly 5K challenge from another location and receive race day swag by mail. Crews and pacers are permitted with the condition that pacers are on course only when their runner is on course. Children may participate free and basic support at the venue includes a community tent, water, some ice, tables, and chairs.
