Baby Backyard 5K to 50K ULTRA : Maple Grove, MN
The Baby Backyard Ultra is a looped trail event held at 12420 James Deane Parkway in Maple Grove, MN, presented by Human Race Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The format repeats a 5K loop every hour; participants who complete that loop within the hour may continue. The sequence of hourly 5K starts continues until a 50K total is reached. Participants may stop after any completed 5K and receive an official finish for that lap.
This event is part of the RRCA Championship Series 50K. Medals are awarded to individuals by age group for the fastest completion of the 50K distance. Gatorade Endurance is listed as a hydration sponsor for the event.
A virtual option lets remote participants run the same hourly 5K goal on their own course, on treadmill or trails. Virtual entrants receive race day swag by mail. All registration fees are donated to the Children’s MN Cancer Fund.
Family and crew access is available; children may run, ride, walk, or hike at no charge. The venue provides a primary cover area at the start and finish with water, event swag, and snacks.
