Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA
The Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA is a trail backyard-ultra event held in Maple Grove, MN, at 12420 James Deane Parkway. The format uses repeating 5K segments: a new 5K starts each hour and participants may continue until they reach 50K. Runners and walkers can join for any number of laps; each completed 5K counts as an official finish in this no DNF event.
Event management provides course support and aid for the duration, including a primary start/finish cover with water, race swag, and snacks. A virtual option is available; virtual participants can run their own 5K course and receive race-day swag by mail. Kids may run, ride, walk, or hike for free, and crew, family, and spectators are welcome.
This event is part of the RRCA Championship Series 50K; medals will be awarded to age-group individuals who complete the 50K the fastest. Gatorade Endurance is listed as a hydration sponsor for the 50K. The race is also included in the Upper Midwest Trail Runners Too Fun Trail Run Series, and UMTR members earn series points.
